To get a NJ real estate license, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, complete 75 hours of required education (this course), pass the state licensing exam (70%), complete fingerprinting, and work with a sponsoring broker.
Yes, the Real Estate Career Center is a licensed NJ Real Estate School authorized to offer the required 75 hr NJ Real Estate Salesperson Prelicensing Course. You can click on the following link from the NJ Real Estate Division https://www.nj.gov/dobi/division_rec/licensing/schlist.html
Once you've completed the required steps and sent in your application, it will take around four weeks for the State of NJ to process your application and provide your license.
It depends... It is a 75 hr course, but it can take a few weeks or a few months depending on how much time you have to work on it. If you focus on completing the course quickly, you can complete it in two - three weeks. The average time it takes for a student to complete the course is 6 weeks.
It does expire six months after your purchase date. This should be PLENTY of time to take the course. If something comes up (illness/work/etc) just pick up where you left off or start over if it's been a while. Even if you have a "life event" you will still have enough time to complete the course with the six month expiration date.
Definitely. This is a big step and if you have questions, please reach out and ask to speak to Eva, the Student Director. She will answer any questions that you have.
If a student graduates from our school and does not pass their state licensing exam (within 30 days of their course completion) they are entitled to a full refund of the tuition of the course.
